Executive Summary

Since January 2008, 2,886 households have been supported with non-food and emergency shelter items, of which 64% were newly-displaced and organized and spontaneous returnees and extremely vulnerable populations.
The first allocation of the CHF (Common Humanitarian Fund) for NGOs has been released. The Non-Food Item (NFI) and Emergency Shelter (ES) Sector secured US$466,950 for the NGOs operating in the Rest of Northern Sudan (ROS) region.
