Document Actions

Highlights

  • Flooding continued during the first week of October affecting several rural villages in White Nile, according to Sudan Plan. UNJLC
and the NFI Common Pipeline (CP) met these new needs in White Nile in addition to responding to needs of flood-affected
populations in several villages in Northern Kordofan, that became accessible during the reporting period.
  • Poor road conditions continued to hamper flood response operations in Southern Kordofan.
  • The NFI distributions in response to flooding has significantly declined, in keeping with the reported needs.
  • A lessons learnt exercise on the sector’s floods response will be published by the end of November.
  • The sector received additional funds from the CHF in October, including US$250,000 to UNJLC for coordination and sector lead
activities, and US$200,000 to CRS for flood response activities.
