The July Light Vehicle Convoy to Darfur has had to be cancelled.
The current exceptional rains combined with security concerns along a section of the road would mean a possible delay, making it unsafe for travel at this time.
UNJLC will continue to monitor the situation but given the intensity of the current rains, it is unlikely that another convoy will be planned before September and the cessation of the rains.
UNJLC will advise accordingly.
