The GOS has declared a state of alert in the regions hit hardest by the floods in North Sudan. Rains have caused massive flooding, displaced and damaged roads.

The third UNJLC-UNDSS coordinated Light Vehicle Convoy to Darfur this year due to leave Khartoum 20 July.
