Myanmar- Bulletin n.1 -2nd July
Highlights:
- As of Monday, June 30th, the Logistics Cluster helicopter operation has been
downscaled from ten helicopters to five. This will allow for prolonged air lift capacity
through the month of July. - The Logistics Cluster airbridge has been running smoothly since cargo flights began
from Bangkok to Yangon on May 24th. However with 1,828 mt of cargo still awaiting
shipment and an additional 800 mt in cargo movement requests (CMR) already on
file, capacity for the airbridge until the planned end date of August 10th has now
been reached and other options must be considered. - The Logistics Cluster has played an important role in the facilitation of humanitarian
cargo entering Myanmar, and will remain available to assist in all cases where cargo
is brought in by individual organizations up until its planned date of deactivation on
August 10th.
