1. HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Yangon Logistics Cluster meeting will be tomorrow Friday 6th June at 14.00 hours
  • The MI8 completed the fourth day of operations in the Delta region today

2. CLUSTER ACTIVITIES UPDATES:

• The Bangkok Logistics Cluster meeting was held today in Bangkok: 25 participants attended the meeting. (Please refer to the minutes available on the Logistics Cluster web page for details)
• The next Bangkok Logistics Cluster meeting will be held next Wednesday 11th June at 11.00 hours

3. WATER TRANSPORT:

  • The vessel Claudia arrived today at 4.30 in Yangon at Sule Port with 400 mt of rice for WFP and NFIs. Offloading operations started today.
  • The barge for Labutta left yesterday 4th June carrying:

Food 93 mt
Early Recovery 10 mt
Logistics 3 mt

4. AIR OPERATIONS:

  • The fourth day of operation for the MI8 was completed today. A team of 6 persons from the TRI PARTITE CORE WORKING GROUP flew with the MI8 down to Labutta for an assessment mission. The MI8 completed then two rotations to Tat Kwin delivering:

2 sets of learning centre, 2 boxes of earning kits 2 boxes of recreational kits,
5 boxes of soap, and 1 water guard, 4 boxes of oral rehydration salts for UNICEF
20 boxes of HEBs and 48 bags of beans for WFP

Flights planned to arrive Yangon today: (see attached document)

The Logistics cluster today supported the lifting of cargo arriving with the 5 C-130 flights and consigned to UN and NGOs ( FAO and World Concern ) as no system was set up to receive the cargo. Please see below the details:(see attached document)
