1. HIGHLIGHTS
- The Bangkok Logistics Cluster was held today at WFP office. Almost 40 participants from more that 30 organizations attended the meeting.
- A warehouse agreement was signed today by the cluster in Yangoon. The warehouse will be used for inter agency purposes.
2. CLUSTER ACTIVITIES UPDATES
- The logistics cluster team in Bangkok secured an interim warehouse facility at the Bangkok airport in collaboration with partners of the private sector (TNT, Agility, UPS) for inter-agency use. The identified warehousing space outside the airport is not bonded therefore will be used for cargo procured locally.
- This afternoon the Logistics Cluster in Bangkok met with Thai airlines representatives and Thai authorities to finalize the agreement for the long term staging area in Don Muang airport. The cluster is awaiting the final official approval from the government.
- The logistics cluster in Yangoon signed today a warehouse agreement for storaging facilities for inter agency use. DHL will be in charge of managing the warehouse on behalf f the cluster.

3. AIR TRANSPORT
- Updated information on cargo flights arrived into Myanmar has been compiled on the daily air operations report and made available on the cluster webpage. The logistics cluster appreciates the effort of the partners and is asking participants to continue to compile the suggested format (available on the web) and to provide related information. Details available on the Air operations daily update.
- The Swiss government has an IL76 arrived in Yangon on the 15th May carrying food and water supply equipment.
- The Government of Germany/ THW an IL 76 arrived in Yangoon on the 15th May carrying water and sanitation and medical equipment.
4. ROAD TRANSPORT
- The two bridges previously reported, damaged on the way to Bogale, have been repaired. However road conditions are reported to be not very good.
- The main road form Yangoon to Pathein is reported to be in good conditions however other roads are reported to present water in different parts.
- The roads Kyayklat -Bogale and the road Myaungmya –Labutta are reported to be in poor conditions
5. WATER TRANSPORT
- The logistics cluster in Yangoon is finalizing the contracting of 3 barges and pusher for inland waterways operations.
- As per latest information, not yet confirmed by the MOFA in Paris, the MISTRAL will still attempt to discharge the cargo in various ports or berths in the delta region and not at MITT Yangoon as previously reported.
