• On 24th January Agence France Presse (AFP) reported that the of Rift Valley Fever (RVF) outbreak hits at least 114 people in Kenya over the past five weeks. The viral disease has so far infected around 300 people since mid-December and has continued to spread, with new cases reported in the country’s central province.
• On 24th January, IRIN reported that two cases of RVF have been reported in Nairobi.
