  • Since the latest outbreak began there in November, 47 deaths have been reported in the flood -affected areas, of Garissa.
  • On 8th January Agence France Presse (AFP) is reporting that an outbreak of Rift Valley fever has killed at least 75 people in Kenya over the past three weeks, , as authorities started vaccinating at least a million livestock in the affected regions.
