Latest Monitoring Updates 27th November 2007
- On 26th November OCHA reported that the Bangladesh military continue to transport relief items to the affected areas by plane, helicopters and boats.
- An estimated 400 tones of relief goods was distributed by the Bangladesh Air Force to date.
- According to OCHA the Central Emergency Relief Fund (CERF) allocations to the Cyclone Sidr emergency response is of USD 14.7 million.
- On 26th November the Disaster Management Information Centre of Disaster Management Bureau (DMB) (MoFDM) reported that AFD is working on non-stop basis and carrying the relief goods to the local administrations, communities at the very remote locations by the BAF aircrafts. In continuation with previous efforts on 26th November they have completed 22 missions carrying 27,893 kg relief goods by helicopters / aircrafts.
- US mission started their operation and providing drinking water to the community. Ton the 26th November they operated helicopter missions to Dublarchar, Patharghata, Galachipa, Kalapara and Sharankhola.
