Information Management
Information management is the core scope of UNJLC and it achieved to the provision of different services that goes from the collection trough the analysis and the publication of logistics related data.
Summarizing Information Management at UNJLC is provided as :
a Space where the humanitarian community can access information resources
a Provider of information products and services
a Focal Point for data collection, analysis and dissemination
an Advocate for a culture of information-sharing in the humanitarian community
a Basis for the development of a common platform for information sharing initiatives in the field.
With the scope of:
Minimize duplication and improve the response to affected population
The IM unit of UNJLC offers different tools and services to its partners such as:
- Information Management support:
IM support is realized to the maintenance of updated IM Tools such as the Logistics Operational Guide (LOG) and IM best practice from past operation.
Together with the previous activities UNJLC IM unit also works on IM how-to, guidelines, software in order to better provide the requested services.
Logistics Information is collected, analysed and disseminated trough Situation Reports and Logistics Bulletins to the entire humanitarian community.
- Common Logistics Information Sharing platforms:
UNJLC is maintaining the UNJLC. Org web page as well as it manages the Logistics Cluster (logcluster.org) and WFP logistics web pages.
As information sharing tools UNJLC administrate different mailing list (Sudan mailing list) and other dissemination tools.

Provision of Standardized tools for inter-cluster use
