General Info:
Shalamchah is located in the South of Iran, close to Khorramshahr on the Iranian and Basra on the Iraqi side of the border. This location is expected to be the main reception area for refugees from Iraq. The border is directly accessible from the port of Khorramshahr and is well connected with Bandar Imam-e Khomeini. No customs facilities are available at the border. The nearest customs offices are in Khorramshahr and Abadan; Ahwaz is the nearest main customs office.
