The attached document is to explain how to work with POSKO Medan to clear your goods as rapidly as possible through the ports of North Sumatra, namely Belawan Seaport and Polonia Airport.
Background
The Government is responsible for ensuring that donations reach the “right beneficiaries” within the “the right time” in a good and safe condition. To do so we take the following steps.
- All donations, foreign and domestic must be monitored by POSKO.
- All departures of deliveries must be in convoy and with civilian or TNI protection.
- Goods must be kept in the POSKO warehouse unless approval has been granted by the POSKO Medan. Approval is granted on technical reasons.
- NGOs, IOs and UN agencies are requested to keep the POSKO informed of progress.
