HSV (high speed vehicles) or fast catamarans have been offered .
The first WESTPAC EXPRESS has been tasked with moving 500metric tons of canned fish from BANGKOK to MEDAN . This will take 3 days once loaded . Once the fish has been offloaded the WESTPAC EXPRESS will be available for retasking.
A second HSV SWIFT arrives 26 Jan and will be available for tasking .
HSV capabilities are :
SWIFT draft(loaded): 13ft , speed 38kts , range 2400nm , lift 815 short tons plus 325 pax .
WESTPAC EXPRESS draft(loaded): 15ft, speed 40kts , range 1100nm , lift 550 short tons plus 970 pax.
