IRQ - CPA update briefing - Iraqi ports post 30 June 2004
At a UKMTO Dubai Industry Briefing, on 23 June 2004, in Dubai, the CPA Maritime Adviser to the Iraqi Port Authority gave a commercial update on Port Operations in Southern Iraq (primarily Um Qasr (UMQ) though reference was made to other ports in Southern Iraq). This information notice summarises that briefing and is intended to assist maritime industry managers in contingency planning for vessel transits to and from the areas in question. It updates earlier Information Notices (006 – UM QASR dated 3 Jun 2004 & 007 – KHOR AZ ZUBAYR dated 15 Jun 2004).
