Update - 14/12/05

Overview

  • All roads in this area present holes and points of limited transit due to previous landslides.
  • Ice and snow are inevitable during the winter months.
  • Snowchains and overnight kits should be carried at all times.
  • Many points require the use of four-wheel drive.

1.    Road Bagh-Kahuta:
The road from Bagh to Kahuta is open and accessible.  Close to Lasdana, which is also referred to as Eagle's nest, there is some accumulation of snow and or ice.

2.    Road Bagh-Sudan Ghali:
The Bagh road to Sudan Ghali is both open and accessible; however there are several breaks along this particular stretch, especially on the upper part.

3.    Road Bagh-Padhal -Rawala Kot:
The Bagh road to Padhai and Rawalakot continues to remain both open and accessible. This rout is considerably narrow in several points and also has limited visibility.  It is suggested to use the road via Arja, even if the distance is a little longer.

4.    Road Bagh-Arja-Rawala Kot:
The Bagh road to Arja and Rawala Kot remains open and accessible.
