Logistics Capacity Assessment
This Logistics Capacity Assessment provides a background to Pakistan’s existing logistics infrastructure, focussing primarily on the earthquake affected areas of Pakistan Administered Kashmir (served by the Muzaffarabad and Bagh hubs) and the North-West Frontier Province (served by the Mansehra and Battagram hubs).
Information contained herein, includes but is not limited to: geography, road and rail networks, shipping terminals, air cargo facilities, mapping, customs and immigration. Links to additional information of potential use to logisticians working in the affected areas are provided. UNJLC also maintain a generic website [1] housing both general reference and deployment-specific materials.
The information included in this assessment was derived from specific logistic capacity assessment tasks, documentary research and the collective experience of UNJLC field logistics officers. While the data is not exhaustive, it provides a variety of logistic information compiled into one source.
