Document Actions

as of 15/03/06

Due to financial reporting requirements it is necessary for all exporters of non commercial shipments to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Ministry of Commerce before export clearance being given.

There are two different NOC applications.
A.    Re-export of imported goods.
B.    Export of good acquired within Pakistan.

Re-Export of Imported Goods.
1.    A letter on organization letter head must be written to the Ministry of Commerce requesting an NOC for the re-exportation of the previously imported goods. These goods must be detailed in the letter.

2.    The letter is to be accompanied by copies of the import documents.

3.    The intended departure port must be noted within the letter as the Ministry of Commerce needs to notify the relevant Customs office.

Export of Locally Acquired Goods.
1.    A letter on organization letter head must be written to the Min of Commerce requesting an NOC for exportation without realization of export procedures. The goods must be detailed in the letter.

2.    The intended departure port must be noted within the letter as the Min of Commerce needs to notify the relevant Customs office.

The application is to be delivered to:
Mr Abrar Ahmed
Joint Secretary
Room 506, 5th Floor
Ministry of Commerce
A Block, Pakistan Secretariat
Islamabad
Ph 051 9210277

This procedure should take no more than take two to three days. Upon receipt, the serving customs broker will require the original NOC in order to complete the export documentation.
