In The Context Of UN Humanitarian Agencies, International Organisations And Non-Governmental Organisations In Support Of The Pakistan Earthquake Relief Operation.
Fuels issues in the humanitarian response to the October 2005 Pakistan earthquake pose a number of logistical challenges to the United Nations humanitarian agencies, government organisations and NGOs working in the affected area as they seek to provide much needed food, medical aid and shelter to the earthquake survivors. This work needs to continue throughout estimated 120-day winter and thaw period to cater for those in displaced persons’ camps and those who have remained behind in mountain villages.
