• On 22nd March IRIN reported that a series of explosions rocked Maputo, on 22nd March evening as an army ammunition depot exploded. Flaming tracer bullets could still be seen against the night sky in the densely populated suburb of Malhazine, about 10km from the city centre, where the depot is located.

• On 22nd March Famine Early Warning System Network (FEWS NET) released the Mozambique Food Security Outlook form March to July 2007. For details please refer to the attached full report.
