The next meeting will take place Monday 18 September @ 09.00HRS at the UNMACC annex in new meeting tent opposite containers. It has been decided that the logistic cluster will meet 3 times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9h00am.

  • Action Points
  1. All humanitarian actors requiring cargo movement should use the attached Cargo Movement Request form and send to UNJLC at lebanon.cargo@unjlc.org
  2. All humanitarian actors are invited to share information on their relief cargo pipeline.
  3. Any feedback/follow up on cargo movements and any other issues related to humanitarian relief cargo and distribution

NGO Updates and Issues

PU

  • Nothing to report. Did not attend the meeting. Hopefully they had received a formal answer from UNHCR regarding their NFI's request.


IOM:

  • They are still finalizing their internal logistic to collect their drinkable water from the north of Lebanon. We are closely following the matter with their representative in Tyre.
  • IOM thanks the logistic cluster in Tyre for the distribution of watsan equipment in 5 villages (See minute from 13.09.06).


IMC:

  • They received a cargo in Beirut. Will be transported by the logistics cluster. Still waiting for CMR.
  • They were interested to gather information as the new logistics manager arrived in Lebanon couple days ago.


HWA:

  • Placed a CMR through Beirut on the 15th of September (400 mixed food parcel) we will take care of the warehousing then probably assist them in term of transport.

CARE int:

  • Nothing to report.



SRSA:

  • Question about the length of their operation in Beirut. They are working on the issue. If their 4 trucks are leaving Tyre, then we will have to find some alternative solution

UNHCR:

  • Still facing some shortage of trucks to transport all their NFI stock down to Tyre. We suggested them to use the logistic cluster fleet as UNICEF and others agency and NGO are doing.
  • 3 trucks in Tyre and 6 in Beirut

WHO:

  • Nothing to report


UNICEF:

  • See below the stock report for NFI. UNICEF placed a CMR Delivery will take place on Saturday
    We are sending 3 truck of drinkable water on the 17th of Sept. for the following villages:


WFP:

  • Just as a reminder. The logistics cluster has over 60 trucks available to carry out transportation within Lebanon.
  • We are kindly ask all NGO and Agencies to plan ahead their CMR or work plan as the logistics cluster will stop on the 24 of October at the latest. 
  • Another wick-hall has been erected which increase our capacity of storage (please feel free to contact us if you need any space)
  • 4 trucks are available to distribute relief cargo in the region. Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance. They are all booked until the 19th of Sept. 
  • This message is mostly for the UN agencies. Please send us in writing the request for armoured vehicle  at least 24 hours in advance with the following information (date and location of departure, ETD, ETR, name of passenger) we will send you right away the information in order to do your ISC.

Miscellaneous

  • Need to work on the CMR vs. Waybill especially for implementing partners. Perhaps we could stipulate on the CMR and the WAYBILL the name of the implementing partner (e.g. UNICEF/PU then on the waybill same information). Implementing partners are still struggling to compile information after delivers.
