Action Points
- All humanitarian actors requiring cargo movement should use the Cargo Movement Request form and send to UNJLC at lebanon.cargo@unjlc.org
- All humanitarian actors are invited to share information on their relief cargo pipeline.
- Any feedback/follow up on cargo movements can be addressed directly through UNJLC.
Operational Update & Cargo Movement
- Between 03.09 and 04.09, 120 trucks carrying relief supplies were loaded for WFP, UNICEF and UNHCR.
- The following commercial trucks without convoy escorts will proceed:

Saala (East Tyre) - 1 truck for UNICEF (bladder tanks)
Saala (East Tyre) - 3 trucks for UNICEF (water)

Ynouh (East Tyre) - 2 trucks for UNICEF (water)
Cheeba - 1 truck for UNICEF (water)
Al Khiam - 1 truck for UNICEF (water)
Debaal (East Tyre) - 3 trucks for UNICEF (water)
Markaba - 3 trucks for IOM (tents, blankets)

Ship Movement
- The following are the movements of the WFP-contracted vessels:
Monday, 4 September
WFP Passenger Vessel, Vittoria M, arrived at Beirut Port today, which is its last day of operation, to pick up and drop off passengers to/from Larnaca.
Roro vessel, Anamcara, is currently loading relief supplies in Mersin, after which it will return to Beirut and then, proceed to Larnaca. It is expected to off charter on 12 September since there remains little cargo to move into Beirut.
Other Non-UN/Lebanese Government vessels where WFP facilitated the notification process
MV Quality Spirit arrived in Beirut Port on 02.09 and is currently discharging
MV Rhone arrived in Beirut Port on 02.09 and is currently discharging
MV Simona arrived in Beirut Port on 02.09, completed discharging and departed on 03.09
Air Movement
- UNJLC confirmed that the German Airforce Transal aircrafts will continue functioning until 8th September. There is the flexibility of requesting the return of the aircrafts if there is any further humanitarian cargo to transport into Beirut.
- The Italian government has also offered to provide aircrafts to carry cargo into Beirut.
Other Issues
- The new proposed dates of the Logistics Cluster Meetings in Beirut are Mondays and Thursdays at 8 am. Logistics Cluster Meetings in Tyre are taking place on a daily basis at 9 am to prioritize cargo transport.
- WFP has three mobile storage facilities in Tyre. One of the facilities is located at the port storing food commodities and must be relocated. UNHCR also has a mobile storage facility which is storing UNMACC equipment.
- UNJLC indicated that the Royal Air Jordanian flights are taking place on a daily basis at 8 am, 1 pm and 10 pm. Middle East Airlines (MEA) continue to fly via Jordan before proceeding to different locations in Africa, Europe and the Gulf region.
