UNJLC has ceased
operations in DRC.
Humanitarian needs in DRC remain high despite long-standing efforts to alleviate and eradicate them. These needs are a legacy of years of political and military turmoil, and are currently aggravated by a number of compounding factors.
The Logistics clusters in DRC are active in three locations (Kinshasa, Goma and very recently in Lubumbashi). Both NGOs and UN agencies are interested in the concept and are actively participating in the cluster meetings. Logistics issues to be solved have been identified/ prioritized and recently the cluster lead has prioritized and proposed the use of pooled funds for some projects, including coordination management of the logistics cluster.
