Banking

UNJLC was requested to facilitate the collection of information on the banking infrastruture in Liberia in response to concerns raised in securing cash from banks in Monrovia. The issue was discussed in the seventh weekly Joint Logistics Meeting held in HOC on 22 September 2003.
There are three banks operating in Liberia offering their services to the humanitarian community: Liberian Bank for Development and Investment, Eco Bank, and International Bank.
