KUWAIT SEA ENTRY POINTS

General

Kuwait has five major ports namely Shuwaikh, Ash Shuaiba, Mina Al Ahmadi, Mina Az Zawr and Mina Abd Allah.

Shuwaikh is considered the main commercial port in the country. Together with Ash Shuiba it handles most of the country's imported goods. Both are equipped with facilities to manage most kinds of cargo. Shuwaikh is the principal port for non-petroleum products.

Ash Shuaiba receives some of the country's industrial imports and is the export point for petrochemicals, sulphur, and petroleum coke. The port consists of commercial berths and an oil pier operated by Kuwait Petroleum Company. The container terminal is considered to be a modern and developed terminal, equipped with sophisticated container handling equipment.

Mina Al Ahmadi
Mina Al-Ahmadi, which is principally an oil port, is the site of the US Navy ships’ bunker program which provides commercial ship propulsion fuels for military & other US Government vessels. It handles most of Kuwait's petroleum exports.

Mina Az Zawr, also named Mina Saud, is an oil terminal, loading crude from the southern oil fields.

Mina Abd Allah, also named Mina Abdulla, has an artificial sea-island. Cargo loaded includes Naphta, HSD, Jet, SKO and Bunkers.
