KUWAIT LAND ENTRY POINTS
General
Kuwait has two Entry Points (EPs) – the Abdaly/Safwan crossing and Um Qasr. Abdaly EP is a single lane crossing open for both humanitarian and commercial traffic. Umm Qasr is occupied by the Coalition and is used exclusively for military transportation. Occasionally humanitarian traffic can use the EP, but it depends on the agreement with the soldiers manning the post. Neither of the EPs has been officially recognized by UNSCR 986.
